Jim Struthers - Global Sales Manager
Having donned his cap and gown and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business/Commerce from Birmingham City University, Jim has advanced through the ranks of Casella during 20+ years of employment.
Jim has a plethora of experience as Sales Manager within the testing and measurement industry. Skilled in international and UK sales, Jim leads a determined team of individuals encouraging individuality and innovation. Jim's day to day tasks require strong negotiation skills, business development and strategic planning, but his primary drive is to provide and advise unique solutions to our end users for their monitoring needs.
Matthew Elliott - International Sales Manager
Matthew joined Casella in December 2014 as an International Sales Manager for all products from Casella. He covers the territories of most of Europe, Africa, Latin America and the former Russian States utilising his 13 years of experience of working internationally.
He is a Chartered Chemist with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Cardiff, University of Wales but specialises in instrumentation with a Masters in Instrumental Analytical Chemistry from APU, Cambridge. He has worked for SMEs and FTSE100 companies working with precious metals then heavy metals with a focus on health. At Casella he particularly enjoys bringing their innovative products to market.
Matthew likes to challenge himself and has obtained a Global MBA from Oxford Brookes whilst working at Casella. Matthew has lived in France, Wales and Australia and has a passion for nature, photography and travel. He likes to combine these passions on his days off as much as possible and is constantly looking for new places to visit as he has already visited over a quarter of the countries in the world and all of the continents (except Antarctica – but watch this space!)
Chris Fern - Area Business Manager (South, UK)
With over 17 years experience within account management across a variety of industries, Chris Fern has extreme focuses on the end user and providing perfect levels of customer satisfaction. This wealth of experience in providing solutions for Noise, Dust and Vibration monitoring, is supported with her BOHS qualification W501-01 in Measurement of Hazardous Substances (including the risk assessment).
As an individual Chris is extremely driven with constant eagerness to improve both herself and customer relationships within the Southern half of the UK. Providing excellent customer satisfaction, she strives to provide tailored solutions to every customer and their requriement.
Chris has a passion for travelling both within the UK and around the world. This definitely assists with the travelling requirements of the job around the South of the United Kingdom!
Matt Green - Area Business Manager (North, UK)
Having joined Casella in May of 2017, Matt Green covers the North of the UK and Scotland from his home in Cumbria. He advises and supports our wide customer base on suitable monitoring soultions for Noise, Dust and Vibration.
With over 19 years' experience in the PPE/Safety distribution business, he has held a variety of business development positions within that period and latterly held a Technical Sales Specialist - Hearing Conservation role covering the UK & Ireland for last 6 years prior to joining us.
Matt has been awarded the Workplace Noise Assessment qualification by IOA and is a Technician Member within this institute. He has gained experienced in the field of acoustics and understands the legislation, practicalities in the fields of workplace noise monitoring and hearing conservation in wide variety of sectors. Furthermore, experience and training from Casella and BOHS in the field of Occupational Hygiene (Hazardous Substance Monitoring), puts Matt in a prime position to provide advise, support and end user instrument training to help our clients choose the best product solutions for their needs.
Matt's hobbies include golf, gym and snowboarding. As a keen music fan and DJ (he does wear hearing protection, we promise)! He is passionate about the importance of monitoring and awareness of protecting your hearing as once its gone its gone. His greatest fear would be to not be able to hear music as it’s a massive motivational tool for him on the long drives on the M6!!
Susan Henderson - Sales and Marketing Executive (Global)
After a career gap to raise her child, Susan joined Casella in 2017 as a Sales and Marketing Executive, bringing with her over 20 years of sales experience. Susan's previous roles have included working for Iris Software and Services as a Sales Consultant selling CRM and Training Solutions. Prior to that she worked for Capita Education Services as a Business Development Manager for Local Authorities and Schools, selling educational Software, Services and Virtual Learning Platforms. Susan also enjoyed Sales and Marketing roles in Travel and Tourism and Education, beginning her career as a secondary school Teacher.
Susan enjoys adventure and activity holidays, and working as a volunteer in conservation and other projects. Susan also loves learning languages, but her favourite pastime, is spending time with her daughter.
